    Under Attack

    Satan hates Bible translation

These attacks cannot be explained any other way.

We’re witnessing spiritual warfare as the Scriptures are translated around the world—national Bible translators falling ill, some being arrested, some even laying down their lives for the cause of Christ—real attacks of the enemy, and not just in other countries. Right here at home, we are engaging in spiritual battles like never before . . . attacks for which there can be no other explanation.

Yet God is powerfully TRANSFORMING LIVES through His Word, thanks to generous support for Bible translation from caring Christian friends like you.

If Satan hates it—let’s KEEP DOING IT.

We are being inundated with pleas from language groups around the world that have waited for generations for the Bible to be translated for them!

Our breakthrough strategy enables people to translate the Scriptures for themselves. So finally, after centuries, multitudes have the first spark of hope—and they’re begging us for the technology, training, and tools they need.

These are regions where Satan has a stranglehold on millions; they’re trapped in false beliefs, captive to sin, spiritually blinded. They’ve never encountered the lifesaving truth of God’s Word.

My friend lived in that world. For her protection, I’ll call her Ni. Her childhood in the Middle East was a grim regimen of religious oppression.

But she had a Christian friend, who always carried a Bible. On one visit to their home, the friend left the Bible behind, in the kitchen. Ni soon realized: this book is different.

Then this Christian friend invited Ni to a prayer meeting. After the pastor prayed for her, Ni assumed she must pay him according to Muslim custom. “Jesus Christ paid for you,” the man replied with a smile.

Ni knew this name: the One from the Bible! “He gave His life for you,” the pastor said. “Because He loves you.”

Suddenly—hearing the Word in the language of her heart—Ni understood. She gave her life to Jesus that day.

It cost her. She had to leave her home country to escape horrific persecution. But she still rejoices every day over what God did for her through the power of His Word, in the language of her heart.

Ni’s experience demonstrates once again that God’s Word is powerful. When people like Ni experience the Word in the language of their heart—when they encounter Jesus truly, deeply, in the language they think and dream in—Satan loses his hold on their lives!

It costs just $19,500 to start translation of the Bible in another language. But we have requests from more than 600 language groups.

Bible translators are willing to face the enemy. They are willing to take up the sword of the Spirit and do battle in the spiritual realm. In areas of intense persecution, they are willing to risk everything. Let’s stand with them. Please join the battle. Give generously today.

    Thank you. God bless you.
