Chris Lovelace

From a young age, Chris enjoyed learning foreign languages. He pursued this passion in college with a double major in Spanish and Russian, which included university studies in Spain and Russia. Later, God led Chris to pursue further studies in Biblical Greek and Hebrew through a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology at Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary in Lansdale, PA. The Lord has used this linguistic and seminary training in various ministry opportunities as Chris has served as a missionary in Russia and Ukraine (1996-2007), as an assistant pastor in Philadelphia (2007-2009), and as a lay minister in Argentina (2009-2013). Chris and his wife Liz are excited to see God using all of this background in pastoral ministry, Spanish, Russian, and the biblical languages as Chris is now laboring with Wycliffe Associates and The Seed Company as a Bible Translation Consultant. Once they raise full support, the Lovelaces look forward to laboring with Bible translation teams in Spanish- and Russian-speaking areas where many people groups still do not have the Word of God in their heart language.
