Bart Maley

I direct the Community Development Program and work with development leaders in countries where translation efforts are ongoing. I provide these communities with resources to design, construct, and maintain projects (e.g. clean water supplies). Wycliffe Associates has a long history with cross-cultural ministry and has gained much wisdom in how to best work in culturally sensitive ways. Drawing on that wisdom, I train staff and volunteers to work in ways that are empowering, and not designed to create or continue dependence from the outside. I also work with communities to design maintenance programs that ensure the sustainability of projects.
